"Like Dandelion Dust" - Back From France and opening the CCIFF Film Festival in Century City

Hey iP'ers,

Well France was A MA ZING! Truly a surreal experience for us and a definite celebration of our film. We were not in competition at the Deauville Film Festival, we were making our European Premiere. None of us really understood just what a Mecca for filmmakers Deauville is. We were surrounded by Hollywood's elite; Meryl Streep, Rachael McAdams, Harrison Ford, Steven Soderbergh and Andy Garcia to name but a few of the tremendous talent we saw there in support of their movies.

The day… Continue

Hello, Zach! Thank you. I am very glad to meet and communicate with you.
I like iP, and I love Hollywood, but never was in the US.
Thank you for your support and attention!

Thank you! And I hope they will soon have another similar seminar about packaging, because that is something I want to learn about.

I don't get it.

As a screenwriter, I want to pitch my projects to prospective producers. But there's no such area on your web site.

Shouldn't you create a space making it possible for writers and producers to find each other?

Or is that so screamingly obvious ... you've lost sight of it?

Hi Kerry,

That's correct! I'll take care of everything from my end.

Out of interest:

A turn-around time for a script that's appox' 10-15 pages in length would take 7-8 days to fully complete and release. This is working on 2-3 locations, a whole host of special effects, sound effects, musical renditions, and a cast of 4, for example. It's as easy as that.

Obviously, 20 locations and a cast of 15, for example, will take longer, but is still do-able without doubt. They could even base their location on Mars or Jupiter if they wanted with tons of explosions, alien invaders and lazer gun fire... Or quite simple have a group of people seated on a park bench.
Whether it's about cops, secret agents, army men, ghouls & demons, priests, hookers, doctors, lunatics, aliens, zombies, masses of crowds screaming for their lives, it really doesn't matter. What does matter is that it gives the writer a chance to write without a budget in mind, which through experience, is a big plus.

I'd be delighted to pick the winning script. The winning writer/s can also recieve a DVD of their movie through the post. They can also upload it from one of our storage facilities on the net for their own showreel.

We have the technology, Ma'am.

Cheers for clearing that up Kerry. I'm glad it was just an oversight - that was my gut feeling and I'm glad that is the case because it would be a shame for anything to taint the work you've done on IP because I love being on here. Looks like the IP contest will be coming my way then.....
Did you see Jaci Stephen is on here now - awesome writer - I spent so many Sundays laughing at her TV reviews in the newspapers. I was chatting to Jimmy McGovern last night - one of my true heroes! Best, Peter
